For the Norwegian titanium manufacturer, Norsk Titanium, it was important to have a solution that can meet the needs of their customers in aerospace, oil and gas, as well as defense and marine industries.
Norsk Titanium has changed the production of titanium components through 3D technology developed in-house, and plans to build dedicated factories for the production of complex components of titanium, primarily for the aerospace and defense industries. 3D printing as a production method is significantly cheaper compared to traditional production of titanium components, primarily through reduced raw material and energy consumption. Thus, the technology is both cost-saving and environmentally friendly.
“We believe the agreement with Axdata for the implementation of the ERP system Microsoft Dynamics AX will enable us to better meet the requirements of customers”
– Gunnar Aasbø-Skinderhaug, responsible for ERP-solutions in Norsk Titanium.
Buyers of titanium components place higher demands on quality, documentation and tracking throughout production.
Norsk Titanium is an exciting and ambitious company that fits in very well with Axdata’s focus areas within engineering and production. We look forward to starting the project and look forward to a long and good collaboration, says Trond Johansson, CEO of Axdata.
